When Charon had departed her company, Eshe managed to roll on any area that significantly smelled of him. And upon arriving home, she did the same thing, taking care to take the path they had shared toward Moonspear to overwhelm his scent. She felt she had done a good job of it and anyway, in the span of time that would pace before Goobers arrival, his scent trail there would be gone.
Eshe hoped to find her mate now, and apologize a thousand times over. She had misjudged someone and felt terrible for betraying the confidence another had put in him. Her eyes scouted for his handsome face; she'd been thinking of him guiltily the whole while, but that short time away had done nothing to give her something to say. Eshe had no excuse to give; she had messed up, and knew it, and would not do it again. Still the damage was done, and Eshe fretted over that on his behalf. She was addle-brained and driving herself crazy, and so could not recall if he had decided to depart after all... had she kissed him goodbye? Or 'be right back, don't leave 'til I come back'?
