Here we go! @Charon @Amekaze -- Tagging Ame for reference since she'll probably be busy tending to puppies. <3

She felt guilty. She joined the ranks days before, pledging that she would be loyal only to decide to leave. How was that loyal? But, she had to find her family. She didn't know what brought this back into her mind, but she had been wracked with homesickness the other day, and she just needed to make sure they were okay. 'Stella would be fine here, and maybe she would come back one she visited Mom and Dad, if Amekaze and Charon allowed it.

Her heart beat hard in her chest as she stalled for a couple minutes before raising her head to call for her alphas, specifically Charon. She had heard that Amekaze had her puppies recently, and taking care of them was far more important that seeing Paikea off in her eyes. So here she waited for someone to show up, tail tip twitching with anxiety.

Charon hadn't had a lot of time to do anything except for keep Amekaze fed and stand guard outside of the den. So when the howl rang, he felt irked to start with — Charon hadn't wanted to leave the den, but he knew he had to. He gave Amekaze a swift kiss goodbye and nosed his children before taking off, deciding that he would make it a quick forth and back trip so that he'd be back at the den as soon as possible.

When the female he didn't really know much at all came into view he was quick to cut to the case; he didn't want to be here to start with, and if anything'd happen to his mate or pups when he was gone he'd never forgive her, nor himself. "What is it?" he asked, the irritation and impatience sounding through in his voice.

Charon walked up, seeming as grumpy as ever -- well, for as long as she's known him, he'd seemed grumpy. Either way, he was still intimidating and she shrunk a little as he approached. He uttered three words, and Paikea was left to answer. After he quick bow, she opened her mouth to speak, blood thumping in her ears. "I need to find my family," she blurted, freezing to gouge his reaction. She knew it was very odd of her to leave just after she joined, especially after she vowed loyalty to Amekaze, and she immediately felt guilty. But she needed to find mom and dad!

He couldn't help but feel angry when she said that she needed to find her family. She'd called him here only to announce her desertation. Most wolves left quietly in the night and while normally Charon would appreciate being told rather than sneaking off without a word, he could've spent this time with Ame. She could've come to the den instead, found him there, rather than call him away from his family. What if something'd happened while he was gone?

"Fine, go," he said, resisting the urge to chase her out himself for deserting the pack in such an important time so close after the pups' birth. "Good luck." The words were cold and meaningless, and he stared her down, waiting for her to leave his territory and his pack, one which she was no longer a part of.

Tail tucked between her legs as his voice remained cold, if not even more so. He told her to leave, and even though he offered a couple words of "encouragement" they were half hearted and hostile. She dipped her head and quickly leapt to her paws. "Th-thank you Charon," she hurriedly choked from her mouth before dashing off, scampering through the rocky terrain of the Moonspear territory. She finally made her way to the border, lingering there for a moment with a heavy heart before stepping out of the territory for the last time.

Now she had to find her family, and make sure they were safe. She started with getting as far away from this mountain, her her sake.

She left after stammering out a thank you, and Charon paid her little mind. He turned away from the borders then, because he had more important things to do. Quickly he turned back into the pack territory and started to make his way back to where he had left his mate and children to make sure that nothing bad had happened to them.

Paikea was quickly forgotten since she had only been part of his pack for a short time. Right now he had more important things to focus on so she was a chapter of his life he wouldn't remember much in the long run.
