Pale, grey clouds blinded out the sun, and a cold chill swung through the rain-heavy air. It'd starting showering soon, she could tell just from the feel in her fur. Cold breaths husked quietly out of her mouth like fog, the earth beneath her paws shifting threateningly with every movement as the wind howled up through her legs and shook the black slash of her body against the bleak cliffside. Weather like this had always been a sort of thrill in her wilds — wind had howled through the tall standing roots and rippled the black water until it danced with dappled moonlight. Here, it made her feel very small indeed.

Standing as tall as she could, Antigone turned her moongazing eyes skyward, squinting out the dark grey shadows in the white, white clouds. They were brighter than the sun, could you believe it? Another glance out, toward the sweet sweep of the ocean's horizon. The water churned and foamed with cutters and sailors-daughters against the cliffside, and every slap of water or roil of wave had some of the grey face crumble and fade into the brine like it had never existed in the first place. It was eerie. It was fascinating. And Antigone was content to find a patch of earth she was confident would not crumble away beneath her, settling to her belly and peering over the edge of that daunting cliff, enjoying the empty swoop of her belly with every too-hard gust of wind.
