When Wraen began moving, he padded just behind her, doing his best not to stare directly at her hindquarters as they threaded through the snowy wood. He kept his eyes on his own front feet, stumbling a time or two as he mused over his missing toes. Tambourine very nearly bumped into her when Wraen stopped, though he just managed to avoid a collision.

When he finally looked upward, he felt as though his heart was in his throat. He regarded the weeping willow and felt a tightness in his chest.
