Gannet's reliance on Rannoch was evident. Moving with care, the Epsilon made sure to walk carefully; Rannoch wanted to make this initial test as comfortable as possible.
The pair concentrated on their tasks, and the silence that had settled between them was only disturbed once Gannet gave his initial insight. Rannoch turned to face Gannet with a smile, feeling suddenly optimistic despite the concern that was shared. "I'm sure you'll get used to it with practice," he offered encouragingly.
"What's off about it?" Rannoch asked after a pause, wondering how Gannet defined "off" in his current situation.
