Rannoch nodded. "Yeah," he agreed, "But, I'm sure you won't forget about this the next time you hunt down another large bird." At least, Rannoch expected that Wraen wouldn't underestimate her prey in the future. 

"Also, make sure you have Hyacinth check out your injuries. I don't want anything to get infected," he appended; Rannoch didn't like seeing Wraen injured. 

As Wraen apologized for her behavior at the border, Rannoch quickly shook his head; she was not the only one at fault. "I appreciate your apology," he acknowledged, "But, you were not the only one to misbehave. It was foolish of me to criticize you as publicly as I did. You were protecting the pack and had the right intentions." Rannoch's ears flattened, and a feeling of guilt overcame him. "I'm sorry, Wraen." 

"I hope that you can forgive me, and we can move on and learn from this."
