Broken Boulder a gaggle of goblins

The very first thing she noticed upon waking up that morning was that it smelled terrible.

Lily sniffled, unsure whether her nose was playing tricks on her, if it was simply the remnants of a nightmare she couldn't remember, or--

Before she could puzzle it out, a peculiar yowling sound echoed through the cavern, and a small, ginger form raced past the entrance to her den, a darker shape hot on its heels. "What the hell?" she said aloud, astonished. She rose to her feet, slipping through the tunnels, her nose wrinkled at the stench. Blinking, she emerged from Broken Boulder, and when her eyes adjusted to the light, she was blown away by what she saw.

She didn't know what they were. They looked like miniature cougars, except in all different colors, traipsing around. She damn well knew they hadn't been here yesterday; where had they all come from?! Some were feasting on rabbits; others fighting, fur puffed out. Lily stood, stupefied, and watched silently as one of the newer members of the Sanctuary began to address this incursion with fangs and claws.

"Alarian!" Lily called out, eyes wide with shock. She hoped he was near enough to hear her. "You have to come see this. Or. . .well, you'll smell it before you see it."
