Blackfeather Woods [BWP] tremble, tremble, tremble

The birds were louder than normal, and Venamis pressed his ears back against the sleek black of his nape as he pressed on beneath the canopy in which they squabble.

Their cries were nothing short of awful. He turned his cold stare upward, lifting his muzzle to see a number of dumb crows caw in each other's faces, only to offer the angry curl of his lip to reveal his frustration.

And then it happened. Something ominous, like... thunder? Underground? The young Melonii crouched low, bracing himself as the murder above unexpectedly took flight. Obsidian guard hairs stood on edge and he parted his jaws to snarl in surprised annoyance, looking frantically around for any sign of who was responsible for this rare spook.
