Sequoia Coast esperanza

Well, Midar had never been reasonable, and that wouldn't change anytime soon. The beast was stubborn and selfish, and he absolutely did not want to share Alarian with another pack again. More importantly, he wasn't keen on pledging himself to anyone or following the rules of some inept pack leader. 

His mood had been erratic lately, moving between apathetic and hating everything. He was tired of his stupid headaches and tired of Alarian disappearing on him every chance he got. So when his husband had suggested they join a pack, it of course had led to a huge fight. He also hated fighting, but that didn't keep him from constantly fighting with Alarian. Sometimes, he just seemed to be on a completely different page, and it was endlessly frustrating. 

We can stay alone forever, he snapped back. That sounded great, actually. And don't be so dramatic. We survived last time, and we will do the same if it happens again. What were the chances that would happen again, though?

He did, however, notice the woman, and he stopped, ignoring whatever his mate threw back at him. His gaze narrowed. Enjoying the show? he asked coolly. She could have said something instead of allowing them to have a private conversation right in front of her. Of course, they hadn't really given her a chance to say anything in the few seconds they had been in earshot, but like we've mentioned, Midar isn't reasonable.
