Something he'd said had definitely struck a nerve- and even though Terance waited for him to finish speaking, there was a palpable tension in the air- one which more or less went ignored by Jackalope as he was bound and determined to finish what he was saying. He was glad that he'd put a bit of space between the two of them when he saw Terence lower his head. He knew that posture- and the extra little bit of space he'd created by stepping back in preparation for a spar definitely saved his life as the dark male lunged toward him, jaws open and snapping for his throat. Jackalope backpedaled a few steps quickly before he was fully able to bound backwards and away from the vicious onslaught, and immediately, his mood turned sour. That wasn't the way you began a spar. 

"Jeez dude, it's just a fucking spar, not a fight to the death you hosebag," He accused, speaking quickly as he continuously moved away from Terence without turning his back on the dark, now unpredictable male. "If you're gonna be that way I'm fucking out," He warned. After all- maybe Terence was just testing him, or joking with him. Jackalope hadn't claimed to be a brilliant fighter, he was a scout, and at best, all he'd have to do in any tangly situations while scouting would be to stun and run, not engage in a full battle.
