All Welcome
the morning is bitter cold and ontari's shoulder tense as she moves thru the tall grasses of lake rodney, wilted flower petals that have yet to fully decompose with the unforgiving siphoning of the frosts crushing beneath each assured step the crokru takes. an appraising scan of her golden gaze is given, thinking that her mother's stories of this place weren't so far-fetched. there is a sort of beauty to be found here; a ferocity to the unforgiving wilderness that speaks to the ferocity in her. out of everything, though, it is blodreina that ontari looks the most forward to meeting, despite the ill standing the youngest dragonborne was rumor'd to have with thyri.

somewhere along the journey, ontari got separated from tzer who's been travelling with her while atoan lags horribly behind in croageda — as usual, ontari thinks with a derisive snort — and she wonders if she should choose a territory to inhabit while she waits for him to reunite with her. for now, she thinks as she glimpses about before lowering her head to the lake's surface to lap at the frigidly cool but undeniably refreshing water ...she will take it hour by hour.

it occurs to her, as she watches the stranger, that she has very, very little experience with strangers. in confining herself to first blackfeather and then the nightwalkers, her social skills seem pitifully few. it does not seem right to allow the woman to continue on unaccousted, and though she does not know how to approach an unfamiliar situation besides with fangs bared and hackles stiff, she makes an effort not to.

stepping towards her, first into the open and then parallel to the lakeshore, the girl's stare bores into the woman suspiciously. pausing when she's reached earshot, a dozen or so meters away, she barks a "who are you?" it comes out stiffer than intended, though she's careful to keep her tail at a neutral height this time. but the woman only seems to melt away, and Hela does not pursue her.
