All Welcome
01/19 - @Chai, LMK if the location needs to change.

the teekon was made dimunitive in size when seen from atop the sunspire. in truth, bhediya had hardly made it halfway up before stopping, but it was enough of an accomplishment to make her feel proud. facing toward the valley, she could vaguely make out the vale through the thin layer of clouds. beside it was the emberwood, its border of aspens tall and forboding.

she sat there for all of the morning to watch the sunrise. bhediya planned to descend and go back to the lair, but thought that she quite enjoyed the solitude.

Feather footed — Little Doe ! Conquerer of the mountain peaks and wanderer of the cloudy heights. An unstoppable force until...oh? What was this? A fellow petite woman of curls akin to the wild bison. A nightsky given live!

' good morrow! do you liveth here? ' Youthful call to the other filled with warmth. Plume timidly wiggled near thin heels. Hesitant to make decisions upon just the soft — welcoming, touching, warm — appearance of the nightwalker on earth.

bhediya hadn't been expecting company, but wasn't displeased by its arrival. she looked at the woman, taking a moment to admire her coat, before calling back, no, but close. the sunspire was far too dangerous to settle a pack upon.

a smile wide on her maw, she asked, do you? by the way she spoke, bhe assumed that this stranger was another of andraste's recruits who'd wandered from the vale. the seraph would be making her own trip to courtfall soon.

With what little strength she had, Chai had made it to the Sunspire Mountains. There was little logic in her decision to head towards such difficult terrain; she only mindlessly went where her paws took her. She didn't know what she was looking for, if anything at all. Pale eyes constantly downcast towards the snowy ground at her paws, she considered only her basic needs. Food and shelter. Both hard to come by in the depths of winter.

She had climbed for what might have been hours, before exhaustion began to set in. The thin air made breathing difficult, a laborious task for her already underweight, weakened frame. She paused to try and catch her breath, lungs burning. A sharp chill bit through her normally thick fur at her skin, making her shiver. Then, voices. Feminine. Warm...welcoming. With flattened ears she shook her head to clear her mind. She must be imagining things again. And yet, curiosity pressed her timidly forward.

The exchance of knowledge! Echanted and bewitched by the woman of night. Truly, a siren of the mountain top.

' oh, nay. a traveler. ' Little lift of her lips to provide a show of kindness to the woman. ' the mountains. . .art they safe?' Tilted her crown with a flick of tan aud.

bhediya nodded to the new woman, taking in the lovely distribution of browns in her coat. to the first, she said, there's courtfall to the north, empyrean in the lair here, and diaspora at the southern end. she began to feel dizzy, head spinning at such high elevation. my name is bhediya, i'm the leader of empyrean. you're both welcome to come down, if you so choose. with a courteous nod, she left the two woman behind and began her walk back home.

She felt eyes on her now, that she was within plain view. Shyly, her ears flitted back against her skull. The way she held herself; shoulders hunched and legs slightly bent, showed that she was anything but a threat. The furthest thing from, in fact. When the dark woman spoke, naming three distinct packs, her pale eyes flicked up in interest. What shocked her was the invitation that followed. She forced down a lump in her throat, some unknown force tugging her forward. She didn't know why, but this mysterious woman's presence put her weary heart at ease. They didn't even know one another's names, and yet Chai already felt an immense sense of trust. Wordlessly, she crept forward, her steps light and timid, to follow Bhediya back.
