Vanity looked up at Hashut's form once her young were tended to.
He seemed a little dejected, but it was just one. One was ok.
Maybe she wasn't as strong as he thought, but she was. Her womb has been through a lot of hardships.
"Take it. Please," she asked of her mate. She didn't care what he did with the tiny, twisted body, but was glad she didn't have to put it down herself.
She kicked the small body closer to him so he didn't have to reach too far in the den to take it.
She curled around her young tighter, fearing the soul of her lost would haunt her livings dreams.
