It was rare for him to venture far from the den during broad day light. When he came here it was often in the hours of dusk, just as the stars began to shine. After his children were snuggled together and sleeping, but before the night grew dangerous for them to be on their own. It was hard for him to accept that the territory was safe. After everything that had happened to his family in the last couple of month, the cougar and then the intruder. Sia was incredibly shaken. Still reeling. It had only been two months and yet his whole life had changed. So now he stood at her stone. His gaze landing on the of the structure.
The grass had grown over, and wild flowers were making a return after her grave had been covered. The plains running strong in the soil. Siarut came almost every night. He just sat there. Never uttering a word. Just sitting there. And tonight was no different.
