sister pls @Ying im sorry ive been so busy I wanted all the threads but :(

Huā lay by some entangled tree roots, idly chewing on the bone of a meal she had just finished with her sister. Things were different, of course- Huā wasn't sure if they could ever be the same- but she kept trying to re-engineer that magic, will it to come back. Invite Ying to hunts, maybe playfights (real fighting was too rough!) Sometimes she even missed the arguing.

Today Huā thought she could engage her sister in a little girl talk. Maybe she wasn't interested, but... Huā set the bone down, cleared her throat, turned her gaze to Ying. 也许你注意到你的一些侄女和侄子有Mal的斑点。 Huā offered lightly, playful glint in her eye.

there was nothing more for her here. the things she’d learned, she felt no attachment to, having lost that emotional connection along with everything else. still, ying didn’t want to leave again without explanation, and so opted to stay and help the yuèlóng wolves make their move.

she turned her head to the side, raising an eyebrow at huā’s comment. 他是他们的父亲吗?, ying asked, already knowing the answer, 他看起来很坚强. that was the most important thing, no?; having a good, strong man as one’s mate?

She rose an eyebrow, asking Huā a question she'd asked before just months ago, and Huā nodded. When she commented that he looked strong, Huā shrugged. 我不知道他是不是坚强。可是他有很好的心。 She laughed a small chuckle, knowing Ying probably wouldn't care as much about that. 可悲的是,我们还没有结婚。。。 我不知道你怎么总是这么容易抓住男人。 Huā's gaze shifted back to Ying. A girl who had managed to find a father for her children even as a pregnant woman... the empress figured that man had a kind heart, too, and longed that she might find the same.

their empress, an unwed mother? she pondered this thought for a moment before moving on, having decided that the details of their family didn’t matter. what bothered her more was the distance between children and father, but that seemed like an unsolvable issue, given both parents’ responsibilities. regardless, 力量并不总是物理的. ying dipped her head in respect, then settled onto her side to relax.

真? she asked, 这一定是我的天性. even after being wed, ying attracted young suitors, each of which was swiftly turned away. it was often the source of jokes told between herself and her lover, his jealousy never growing beyond what either could handle.

thinking of him, she remembered his words — [i]do not linger.[/q] — and swallowed a ball of guilt. had she been gone too long? did her children miss her? ying would have to return soon, if only for their sake.

Power is not always physical, she stated, and Huā nodded thoughtfully. She had met many an individual who was powerful in other ways... Lumiya came to mind, small and delicate but confident in her words and actions. Huā wondered if she had become strong in this way, too. When Ying said such was a natural quality of hers, Huā chuckled lightly, amused. Lucky girl. Pretty and fire-spirited, blue eyed, a good hunting partner- of course she drew men like fish to bait.

Speaking of her men... Huā knew there was one now, somewhere to the south she figured, raising the children without Ying at the moment. 可是你有一个男孩,比他们很重要。 It was an obvious statement, but she meant it as a bittersweet bridge to her next words: 我觉得他想你。 Huā did not wish to see her sister leave again... but knew at some point it was inevitable. She only hoped that in some distant months they might see eachother again, or perhaps Huā could meet her nieces and nephews when the time came...
