Blue had taken over some of old duties including patrolling the borders. Fox's smell was all over the place you could barely smell anyone else, it ticked Blue off a little bit. A pack was a family not a dictatorship or tyrannical. Perhaps she would have to speak to the red furred she devil. She had no problems with fox personally, but she was finding her leadership skills to lacking. Selfish desires got you nowhere and clearly blue should have observed more, but Atticus needed her.

She decided to follow the stirrings of birds. It was strange, but she had begun to notice further on a flock of birds left. following it the scent of more wolves filled her nostrils and she continued on curious and wary. She finally found their borders and sat down several feet away respectively. She studied the area and the land and she was largely undecided whether or not she wanted to howl. Finally giving in and howling for someone to sate her curiosity.

The initial adrenaline of the claim was wearing off on the hybrid and he began to lull back into the normal behaviour of a pack minded creature. One task he seemed to be suited for in his previous groups was the border patrol so for the time being this would be no different. The borders were faint, but they existed enough that the observant would dare not cross.

Whilst the hybrid busied himself tidying up a particularly weak spot a howl called from nearby, unfamiliar(though he wasn't familiar with the other pack members), a query. He moved toward the summons, the distinctly recognizable scent of a plateau wolf lingered nearby as he approached the calls source, a slight smirk tugged at his maw at the unlikely possibility that the dingle-berry queen might have taken him seriously and sought him out.

There was a moment of disappointment at the sight of the black creature sitting patiently at the border. The half-breed lifted his head, tail rising enough that any could see that he expected authority near his new home. "Another Plateau wolf?" He questioned, stopping just inside the imagined line that drew the border. Before the female could answer he continued "What do the plateau wolves seek coming to our borders straight away?" He assumed she'd heard the claiming howl and was here to investigate. Whilst his words were straight to the point he held any aggression in check, simply asking in an affable enough manner.

Blue studied him with warm green eyes neutrally. She did not wish to cause any other problems. Her brow furrowed who knew of them and had told no one they had a right to know. Yes I suppose so Blue heard his question but said nothing at first, she was thinking. She supposed she could argue that her curiosity is all it was.

I happened to notice a stirring of the creatures here, while I was on border patrol so I came to look. I am Blue Willow. She grew quiet her introduction was given, now it was his turn in her own opinion.

Fang waited patiently whilst she spoke, the avoided answer to his vague questioning of her origin was not lost on the half-breed, though to him it didn't matter. Curiosity? That was a reasonable excuse for seeking them out. After all it was curiosity that had him here instead of the mountain so who was he to belittle that reasoning. Though with all his run-ins with the plateau wolves he half expected some joking, teasing, or general insane behaviour, this one so far appeared most serious.

His golden eyes looked over the dark female for a moment, seeking any hint at her motives, finally he spoke once more. "Blue Willow. I am Fang and this is Blackfeather woods. Our recent home." He added the last with a purposeful finality. If she objected, or any of the plateau objected to them being 'nearby' He wasn't about to put up with it.

how near are they? sorry had to get on phone my hubby is upgrading my comp so posts are a tad shoddy

Blue willow spoke again I was curious mostly. I hope you will mind your manners come winter? she was not sure how this pack would behave, but she wasn't about to let them have hunting so near the plateau. we will mind ours and they would unless it was an absolute need foor food.

She dipped her muzzle to him and smiled well met Fang I wear many hats but forthright I am a healer and a storyteller. It is a nice home from what i can see, are you named for the ravens?

Fang's inside/on the border, Blue is a few feet outside, so maybe 6ft?

Manners? For a moment Fang nearly lost his authoritative composure, the reminded of only days before the previous encounter with a plateau wolf. Truth was he was unaware what plans Meldresi had for the winter, but raiding the plateau wolves seemed like a really ill-advised idea. Of course should circumstances arise, survival of the fittest might require such an approach.

He tilted his head slightly as she spoke of the various titles she held, He had no such titles to speak of as yet, moving on he spoke. "The birds, yes, Though I've not personally seen them, the ravens and crows share bad blood here." He paused for a moment. Finally deciding to speak in regards to the politics of manners. "I think its safe to say we won't be the author of troubles. But If any of your comrades trespass..." He shrugged at the last, as if to say what happens is their problem. He'd already been involved in the mess of one pack dealing with a neighbour taunting them by trespassing, and destroying their borders.
Oh if only the hybrid realised the author of that drama was non-other than Fox, who he met recently. ..he'd probably congratulate her.

no I meant how far apart the packs, making a apple crisp for the hubby sorry.

Blue was no fool, she knew there were very few with manners, but she had them and she expected as muvh from others. They should be at least semi kind had she seen the way fox behaved, she would have been apalled. Blue was thinking more and more she was going to have to remind fox of their agreement, and blue had told him of it. so fox could not get out of it, if it came to that.

ahh they fight over trinkets and baubles and trees she smiled she knew much about crows and ravens. Knew many stories about thm too. blue stared at him hearing his subtle threat but respecting him for it. I believe it is safe to say we will do the same though many of us are friendly on neutral territory.

Her acceptance of his story was a good sign, the half-managed threat seemed to find its mark as well. Of course it was a mostly empty gesture, but still served the purpose of making it known they wouldn't tolerate interlopers. Then came the words about her pack-mates. a half-smile found its way to the hybrids face as he nodded in agreement.

"Indeed, I've met a few of your fellow wolves, and whilst their sense of humour is a little off, they were all genuinely friendly, I Will admit." He left out the fact that one had tricked him into believing he was dying, the other boasted sexual prowess and they spent time mocking each others sexuality, and of course there was the dingle-berry creature. He let out a small laugh as he thought on those events.

Blue shared the smile. She would not keep the truth from others. When it came down to fight or die, her pack, her family they would fight. They would not give an inch and they would not allow others to encroach. It just would not do, it was the main reason they did not hold allies with anyone.

Most of the wolves in the pack did not joke in such a manner with Blue. Most knew she would have been appalled, not to mention she was the alpha and now Beta, so she held a little more respect than most. i am glad they treated you well Fang.

She grew quiet and looked around again and then spoke I should take my leave, I only wished to sate my curiosity. She stood to her paws and waited with her tail wagging gently, and neutrally. She would go her own way now, if he had nothing more to say.

Fang could only nod when the ebony clad female asked to take her leave. "Safe travels back to your home, Blue Willow" There was a nagging thought in the back of his mind, on the spire they seemed isolated, alone, but the flatlands simply seemed to be swarming with wolves. How many more packs were nearby?

He'd watched her leave without another word spoken, waiting until she was out of sight before he returned to his other tasks, whatever they may be. Perhaps exploring the flatlands and surrounds was a task that needed to be done, sooner rather than later.
