The Female however would not follow or perhaps didn’t see it’s mate flee through her half blinded eye. The female was tiring but continued it’s assault on the black wraith, unable to or unwilling to see the inevitable.

Whirst opened her maw and roared a half growl half scream then threw the shoulder the Coyote was mauling into a tree pinning her prey, between the tree and her own body. Then she neatly grabbed the Coyote by the base of it’s skull and spine and bit down hard.
The female squawked and screamed releasing her grip on the the black pelt, Whrist’s blood running freely onto the ground the female began scrambling against the tree with a renewed adrenaline and desire to live. Whirst however was pissed, she had this thing dead to right and she wasn’t going to let it off easy now.

The male could not leave and hearing his mate’s panic; he returned flying from the brush he lunged aiming for Whrist’s flank looking to knock her off balance and set his mate free, He all but forgot the White Wolf lurking nearby, his eyes only on his mate's attacker.
