the smoke that could be seen over the horizon, cloying and menacing and strange to mulberry, has vanished — for now. this morning was slightly on the chillier side, but the sun was shining without interruption and warm upon her back as she slips out of the den and sets about exploring her home. the emerald grasses are fresh kissed with sticky sweet dew that collects upon her paws and forelegs as she lets her curiosity be her guide with no real destination in mind.
