it was a wonder.
right next door laid a magnificent place and for a moment she wondered why they did not move here instead, but then decided that this may be her own private place. tucked away from prying eyes and open to wandering souls. she would not claim here so much as she would haunt it like a second home, hoping to meet strangers with their stories.
slowly she plucked along the edge of the plateau's lake, hoping for trinkets or meals.
a heron did the same further in the water.
