The foxes were in plain sight and the young assassin narrowed her glowing eyes at the filthy creatures. Her obsidian coat blended effortlessly with the shadowy undergrowth in which she was hiding. Her claws were begging to be imbedded in the flesh of the dirty canines that crowded before her. She still didn't know who her partners would be for the task, but she hoped they would arrive soon. She wasn't sure she could wait much longer.

Her blood thirsty eyes scanned the group of foxes, searching for the main leader of the group. If you take out the leader, then they all scatter. At least that was her plan. After observing the group for a few minutes, she notice that the small canines would group around one male that was standing in the middle. They seemed to be asking him things, and he would nod or answer the question. Studying him, the dark girl saw that he had many battle scars and looked experienced in battle. But he was still just a fox.

Slade had only encountered the female once, the obsidian cloaked femmora who Meldresi, the ebony priestess, paired him along with his Brother, Bane, with.
The single meet was all it took for The Nightmare to see what Meldresi saw in the youth. The liquid movements she possessed as her own, the silent way she glided across the soil, her swift manner of examining what lay before her, all charecteristics Slade admired in the young girl.
Perhaps he would have a chat with the fae after they finished their contract on the grimy mutts that inhabited their land.

It wasn't long before Slade sat next to the young girl, the Kadence the Alphess herself spoke of. With a silent nod of his regal shadow enveloped crown, Slade offered her a serious greeting. The Dark King had no words to offer her that were quiet enough to reach her ears alone, for the hearing of a fox was not nonexistent.

His fiery volcanic irises scanned the sight before them, the mangy animals having their little meet, discussing whatever it was that foxes discussed. And patiently, Slade awaited the company of His student.

He had his instructions, kill the damn Foxes, and he couldn't agree with that more. Those bastards were starting to get on the Silver beast's nerves and they had earned Bane's hatred, just to start numbering the reasons, they weren't only taking the food that the pack had accumulated with effort, they were also taking it from his children's mouth. They had declared war to Blackfeather, and more specifically, to Bane.

The Silver wolf didn't hesitate to follow Slade into the shadows and to Kadence, who silently expected for both their arrivals, and Bane too, made his way through the woods silently, eager to start the Fox-Reaping.

He was starting to warm up to this whole idea of being part of a big evil family, it was awesome, and what only could make it better was that the people that made part of the family were the most bad-ass wolves in town. Today's companion specially. The silver wolf nodded at both of them as he arrived to the scene, there was no need for greetings, they all knew what they were doing, and there was no time to waste.

Walking further, the Gamma looked over the undergrowth that served them as hiding spot, a bunch of the reddish thieves dug into one of their caches not too far ahead and Bane's eyes blazed in anger. Turning around to his partners, Bane's eyes inquired if there was already a plan, he was thirsty for blood.

The first to arrive was a shadowy wolf like herself. Her greeted her respectfully and she returned the favor, dipping her obsidian head in greeting. She watched as his eyes sparked with anger at the foxes that were taking the prey that didn't belong to them.

Her next partner, Bane, was the one she was worried about. She had seen him with that look in his eyes before, when they had met the intruder in the woods. It was filled with thirst for blood. The anger in his eyes was not what worried the young assassin, it was what he would do with it. The dark girls shimmering eyes studied his movements carefully, searching for any signs that he would leap from the bushes and attack.

When she was sure that he wasn't going to do anything unexpected, Kadence spoke. Her voice was so low, that she was sure her companions would barely be able to hear her. They were still a good distance from the disgusting little thieves, but she needed to make sure they didn't hear a thing.

"You see that one in the middle? The one with the scars?" she asked lowly, using her muzzle to gesture to the fox she had identified as their leader. "He's the one we go for. If we take him out, I'll bet the rest scatter. It'll be a blood bath." she explained, the last part directed to Bane so she was sure that her would be satisfied with the plan.

Slade listened, his auds swiveling and catching the low song of her words within darkly lavished fur.

That was it? Kill the leader? Was there more? Surely, the fox's minions would not simply let them kill their leader, without a fight.

"Perhaps I could serve a distraction of some sort, maybe draw him from the crowd. After all, they may be smart, but they do not posses the cunning words of a wolf, nor the mind of one."

Slade knew he could pose as an Outrider of sorts, and pretend to have no intention of killing any of them.
Oh what little they knew.

The dark king could feel his companion and fellow brother, Bane, the excitement he felt threatened to rub off upon Slades own heart. The thirst, the lust to feel the rubies spill across his own tongue , to watch the light fade from the eyes of prey, but Slade kept his calm. He needed a clear head to focus on the task before him. However, he did not forget about his pupil.

Turning to him, he spoke softly, the words laced with a anticipation that Bane could see he shared in the desire of death dealing.

"Which role would you claim, Snow Shredder?"

Guys I need to apologize for disappearing! Life just got crazy for a while, but I'm back now, ready to get things going!

<style> .Bane1 {padding: 10px;} .Bane1 p { margin: 20px 80px 10px 80px; font-family: Candara, Calibri, Segoe, "Segoe UI", Optima, Arial, sans-serif; text-align: justify; text-indent: 35px;} .Bane1 q {color: #800000; font-weight: bold;} </style>

Bane listened carefully to what the young assassin had to say. It all made sense and he was more than happy to follow her plan. A blood bath. That's all he wanted to get out of this situation. Those little beasts deserved no more than that and he would be happy to be the one to bring it upon them.

I'll take the big guy... Bane whispered as a response to his mentor's inquiry. Bane felt the necessity to be the one to end the fox leader's life, and just as Kadence said, it would all be a blood bath after the first strike.

Shall we? the snow beast asked with a smirk, he was ready for the action, ready for the kill.

Yay! Welcome back! And just fyi, I absolutely love your new avatar :3

She did agree with Slade's suggestion to have someone to distract the foxes and she immediately flicked her ears, showing that she could be the one do it. She got to her paws as quietly as she could and back tracked out of the brambles they used for cover. After walking for a bit, she stopped on the other side of the foxes, hidden below some ferns and ready to strike.

She shot a glance over towards Bane, as soon as he was in position, she would run.

Bane waited for the female to get in position. Slade's idea of having a distraction was good, and he'd agreed on whatever they would decide to do as long as he was the one to rip the fox leader's head off. Kadence glanced at Bane, and with a nod, he gave the green light to start the slaughter.

He would wait until Kadence's entrance got the gang's attention, and there he would run, straight for the big guy and then to each and every one of the other foxes surrounding him.

With the nod of Bane's head the young assassin sprung from her hiding spot and into the midst of the filthy creatures. Their heads whipped around in surprise, all their beady little eyes focused in on her. As she started to come at her she noticed that the leader stayed towards the back, out in the open and in a perfect position for Bane to snag him.

She growled and batted at the foxes, hitting a few and leaving jagged, bloody marks on their snouts, but she couldn't really have any fun until Bane made the kill on the alpha. Then the battle would really begin.

Wanna wrap this up? I'm clearing my threadlog to start afresh with Keith :P
If you do this will be my last post :)

The neck of the leader cracked in Bane's jaws as he jerked his body mercilessly. The blood ran down the Beta's face, and with a maniacal look in his face, Bane threw the dead body aside to continue the slaughter. Two others came after the leader, snarling ferociously at Bane, but they were no opponents to the arctic warrior. He lunged forward to snap at the two of them at the same time, landing on top of one and grabbing the other with his sharp claws. Their smaller claws scratched the Northerner's muzzle, and the pain was clear. They were fierce those foxes, but Bane and Kadence were just insane. Not a good outcome will come for the little bastards. The pleasure Bane felt as he killed the intruders one by one, side by side with his subordinate.

Sure, I'll archive it :)

As soon as the fox leaders neck snapped between Bane's jaws, all hell broke loose. Chaos, glorious chaos. Kadence's razor fangs slashed against fur and flesh and her claws ripped through pelts, leaving their owners bloody and lifeless. Time slowed as the pair slowly eliminated each and every rotten creature. A smirk lifted the corners of the young assassins mouth as the last fox fell from her jaws, a lifeless heap drowning in a puddle of it's own, tainted blood. Their mission was complete.
