Trajan said he would go. That meant they could all go home now, right? Wrong. Amidst the confusion Julius was experiencing from misunderstanding the directions was the feeling that something was very wrong. Understanding dawned on him, and instead of sadness like the rest of the wolves he considered family, Julius felt angry.

Somehow, it wasn't Trajan's fault for making the decision, but rather Shadow's fault for showing up with his followers. That wolf was taking his brother away. Unlike Relonikiv, Julius reacted to that news by bristling. His hackles raised as he stood rigid. Then, he heard Relonikiv's cries. Not only was this stranger taking Trajan, but he was making his other brother sad.

Julius' own shyness was forgotten when his anger towards Shadow reached a breaking point. Before Bazi could stop him, he ran out from between her legs and straight towards Shadow. He skid to a stop right in front of his biological father, glaring defiantly up at him as he growled.

Julius wasn't sure what to do next, but he knew he had to do something. After a few seconds of standing there, frozen, Julius knew what he wanted to do. He wanted to hurt this wolf for trying to hurt his family, then drive him off so he could never hurt them again. "Go!" He demanded before trying to sink his sharp teeth into Shadow's left front leg.

When there was nothing more to be said, Scimitar cast a hardened gaze toward Shadow once more -- the man had somehow managed to further separate the family, and with a light shake of his muzzle, the cinnamon male dismissed them as finished. He would not keep the boys separated -- but it would be their decision if they even wanted to see their brother from now on, with the abandonment he had now set upon them.
 
Lowering his muzzle to nudge Julius and Kiv away from the borders and back home, the weary family would leave their visitors behind.. though Scimitar would be sure later to return, making sure the untrustworthy wolves had done no more than turned home -- hopefully, keeping Trajan safe during the journey.
