Profile of Lycabas: Details
Appearance
Akin to one of Heracles' Twelve Labours, Lycabas will fill out to be as approximate to a great force of nature as a corporeal wolf can be. He is roughhewn, abundant with frayed and tattered edges -- a boy consistently grungy due to a lack of upkeep -- beset by thick fur over muscles anchored in an adolescent softness; all of him borne by a heavy-footed amble. Mostly a solar salt complexion, he is pigmented across his back by highlights of cinereous bistre and thundercloud shale, falling darkest in saturation upon his tail. The staunch, tarnished golem also employs a gaze of Argentinian blue that is sensitive to direct sunlight, causing him to squint on a clear day.
Personality
Bar of soap in a tube sock.
In other words: a tool at anyone's disposal. For despite his hulking physicality, Lycabas is stunted emotionally. As a child, he missed out on a fair bit of social engagement due to his poor daytime eyesight which led to unnatural sleeping habits. He was often awake while his parents and siblings rested, leaving him perpetually alone during his most active hours. This culminated in an introspective quietness and a general inability to understand the emotions of others, both of which he carries to this day.
His own expressions are flat and his voice is invariably monotone, as he is unable to experience or show his emotions in the way others might. (Unless these emotions are on the extreme ends of the spectrum.) If he does provide an expression, it is done so through mirroring and is given only when it is what he assumes he should do, not because he actually feels something.
He is constantly thinking to himself and sometimes the voice in his head is not his own, but rather the voice of the wolf who brought him up through his adolescence, "Teacher" July Temeraire.
