Katla is a confident and demanding young lady, eager for attention and resources, seemingly without much regard for others. Her actions are not deliberately malicious, though (usually). She just believes her experience and feelings are important and others should care about them too.

Rather than logic, emotions drive Katla's behavior. She reacts impulsively to things, based on her gut. This can make her fickle, and quick (and unabashed) to change her mind. Likewise, she is quite honest and doesn't hide how she feels about things.

Katla lacks self awareness and is not prone to empathy, so wrapped up in her own opinions of things, and she may criticize and even lash out if she doesn't like something… especially if it involves someone/something she cares in particular about. She doesn't really know what to do with that love yet. She also doesn't know how to handle unpleasant emotions like jealousy, hurt, or loneliness, which often fuel her sometimes mean behavior.

Katla trusts herself, and her own perception of the world, over what others tell her. If something you say conflicts with her understanding of things then she may argue. She’ll believe it when she sees it herself.

Katla is certainly capable of reason, but she does need patience, maybe some forgiveness, or a temper rivaling her own, to get through to her and have her listen to your side. Careful, though, she has a way of twisting words especially if she isn't ready to start trying to be mature about things…

Despite her often strong opinions, Katla is not vindictive. She doesn't want to fight, and she doesn't hold grudges or stay angry for long. She is surprisingly receptive to reconciliation after a conflict. You may get her to see your side if you play your cards right, though you will almost never get an apology.

For those who can put up with her occasional peculiarities, Katla can be an amicable and inclusive friend. Although her passion is most often in service of her own interests, if she feels so inclined Katla can make a fierce advocate for those she feels attached to.

What keeps Katla's behavior most in line is her craving for stability. She doesn't want to get in trouble, or cause serious harm to her relationships. It's a tough balance to strike for one so naturally vocal and emotionally obtuse…

Katla doesn't like change very much, nor is she particularly curious, but she is fun loving and competitive, mostly because she likes to win and feel special. She's kind of a sore loser.
