the warlord trails along a stream, gaze tracing the red rock that rose all around. from above, rain falls, the heavens thick and dull with clouds. her shoulder is sore, but lacks it's earlier stiffness. she favours still her hind limb, though she feels the strength within it grows each day. soon, she will return to full strength, and then she can come to a decision about this place.
she is fond of the mountains; this red-painted place. the rush of the wind at night, the otherness of it. a slow exhale, and the warlord slows, glancing skyward as the rain begins the strengthen.

Colorless, it was an interesting thought when she looked over the crimson canyon that she now called her home. She stood out, ethereal in the way she glided from location to location. One might wonder how the red mist was not clinging to her ivory hairs and it was simple, she groomed rather regularly and it helped that in her mixed blood helped with how her coat was structured.
The next thing she had been going is gathering like a raven might with shining objects, ah but it wasn't little trinkets that the dove was hording but herbal remedies. IN her mouth she carried a variety of things she could find in this blood canyon, including little crystals that spoke to her about the great beyond. Funny that she had a strange vibe about her new home when the beast of a man showed her around this place, at first it seemed to want to ward her off but as she grew to know its deep red sands as they spoke to her in a way most would not understand.
Rain was picking up and for once her rather voluminous fur was not as wispy and ghostly as it had been but this was not what got her attention. It was a darker woman, one that limped and favored a side. Concern stitched are her brow as she gave a soft sound, a way to let her know she was behind her. Now all they needed to do was find an alcove as this rainstorm continued to call.

a call, and the warlord turns to glance back over her shoulder. a pale woman, made of ivory and with jewels for eyes, vivid against the paleness of her. the woman regards her a beat, noting the herbs she carries and recognizing them as familiar. the rain begins to pick up, the sting of it almost perceptible even beneath her thick mantle of fur. "follow me," she instructed, voice low as she motions toward an outcropping.
the woman trudges through the river, water curling around her ankles as she makes for the curved rock, an evidently dry semi-circle of earth tucked close under the curve of the stone above. in the distance, the heavens rumble threateningly; this will not be some short-lived summer's shower.

The heavens growled their displeasure down at the lowly creatures below, a warning to those that dared be outside while it began to rain harder. Ah it would seem like the weather was being a testy beast, unhappiness shivering through its clouds. The ivory priestess looked up at the rolling grays once more, noting the shifts that had been signs to how long it was here to stay for but her attention fell back on the woman of darkness and earth. She looked over her in displeasure, no doubt irritated by her injuries. Once the herbal sack of leaves was noted it would seem her tune changed, a command given from someone that was use to leading.
The watered down dove nodded as she moved through the river, making her way to the alcove that was indicated in their direction. Before entering she gave her downy fur a hearty shake, trying to rid as much as she could before it was replaced with more. As she entered she awaited her new acquired patient's movements, once she was in position she would begin.

the heavens loose all semblance of control over the clouds that linger there, and the rain begins to fall as if in anger, as if the force of it might be enough to shove these mountains down into the earth once more. the melonii watches the clouds, the way the move, the shape of them against the gloomy backdrop of unending grey. with the rain it's hard to make out those subtleties in the sky, but she is confident that the rain will last well into the night. if her time on the isle had offered anything, it was the ability to read the natural world with greater confidence, forced as she was to become part of it.
"you are a healer," she begins, more of a statement than a question but allowing the woman room to answer all the same. but these are not her people, and she has given up the power she had. heal settles on the stone, the somewhat awkward angling of her injured limb customary, now. "do you know how to treat a broken leg?" she queries, gaze set steadily on the ivory woman.

She had gathered a few plants from within her new home, it was interesting what would grow in this new and interesting environment. From basil to aloe vera, fennel and lavender, even mint could grow in harsh climates! Now they were a bit water logged thanks to the rather frequent storms that seemed to be taking over her new home but wet herbs did not make them less useful to her patient, thankfully.
She spoke, flatly and the priestess could not help but smile and state the obvious even though this was not a question but rather a statement. "That I am." Her voice honeyed and smooth, but she said nothing else as se looked at the limb that showed her the problem. When the question was asked she tilted her head and thought, making sure that she was not lying to the woman when she nodded and responded in kind. "I do, but it will not be pleasant."

the woman is forthcoming, something the warlord can appreciate. "it's not been so far," she acknowledges, shifting her weight. the discomfort is made worse, surely, by her size and height, she doubts a smaller, lither wolf would have had to bear the same pain as she with a similar injury.
"it's been a month, almost, but still it will not bear weight." some, yes, but not as it should. her patience can only spread so far and long, and frustration begins to simmer. only the threat of whatever had happened to have orochi lose his limb happening to her keeps her from stressing the leg, but she uncertainty of how long this will last grows, an ever-troubling thought.

She almost laughed at the woman as she replied to her comment about pleasantness, she offered a warm smile even as parts of her were chilled and damp. "By the look of it, I do not imagine it has been." There was gentle humor in her voice before her eyes grew distant from the time length she spoke of, one month. Well there was her problem right there, the treatment would not be pleasant indeed.
Her voice grew sympathetic as she got straight to the point, "ah.. then a part of it will have to be broken again." She turned her mismatched gaze to the leg in question before looking out at the heavy water pouring down, she needed to find a good brace. "Broken limbs heal quite quickly, so one must set them soon after the injury."
Two toned eyes looked over her leg once more before she realised her patient had passed out, was it from the exhaustion the rain brought or perhaps the pain a wrongly healed limb inflicted in her. The healer did not know, for a moment she let her head drop to her paws as she kept a look out for her new patient. She would operate when she was awake and willing.
