Thought I’d get this started for us :) Takes place after this thread
@Dakarai

Olive had been doing a task that forsook her as of late — ranging across the territory and finding new wonders, never before held by her own eyes. It was a pastime that, once, was her ultimate priority. Everything paled in comparison to the road, the vividness of the ever-changing world around her — the woman ranged far and wide, covering large swathes of land each day, with a thirst for exploration that could never be sated. In fact, she even had to be tricked into giving up her transient lifestyle to joining Teaghlaigh by Furiosa and cajoled into remaining there.

That had changed after certain events. After her and Dakarai’s fated long range to the Sunspire, her resulting pregnancy and wounds had stifled such desires. Her twisted and torn ankle had healed since then, but her small mewling babes kept the woman tethered to one spot [you know, when they weren’t be forced to traverse the entirety of the Teekon Wilds and then ousted from their home]. Comfort had been found upon the elevation of Moonspear, and Olive had been reluctant to leave it for quite sometime. She had been seduced by the safety of numbers and the freedom such sanctuary afforded Aries and Cassiopeia — and how could she not?

But, after taking advantage of their visitation rights, she Sirius saw her often. Not physically, but in thoughts, memories and dreams. The thoughts of the small, weathered boy disturbed her to the point that when she looked at Aries, his twin, she sometimes saw the firstborn boy. It disturbed her — how could she had been so close to him, yet let him go again? Was she a mother so weak that she would not risk life and limb to save her child from her enemies?

— it was not only these thoughts that vexed her. When she was not beguiled by thoughts of Sirius and the chaos the small pup, so small and so innocent, left in his wake, her mind fell to the subject of Dakarai.  Their tryst had left the druid restless, worried — uncertain if the god’s fury would fall upon them. It was complicated, Olive had decided, and had put those anxieties to rest for the duration of their brief travel to visit the Altar of Twilight… but the thought awoke with a sudden fury when the small family had returned and she was presented with their closeness once more — the cave which sat so close to their den — and she wasn’t sure what to do with this. It had been wrong and comeuppance would certainly result. It was inevitable, and she hoped neither Dakarai nor her babes nor the wolves of Moonspear would be harmed because of her folly.

Oh, how she wanted to feel bad for it! But, that was easier said than done. She was agitated and unsettled and for the first time in the long time, the fae entertained a desire to move; to travel as she once had. So the woman ranged, and though her ventures out of the territory were few and far between, the druid delighted in the many springtime sights [never before seen by her own eyes] on the mountainside. That is where the woman existed right then, upon her stargazing rock on the far side of the mountain, watching as the sunset painted the sky a myriad of pinks and oranges. She was not entirely sure where Aries, Cassiopeia or Dakarai were — but wishing they were here.

Dakarai had been out hunting, leaving the children with the instructions to stay close to the den or at least close to where the pack's other members were. He had caught a rabbit and was carrying it back when he spotted Olive not too far away from him.He hesitated in going to her, wondering how she felt about their most recent intimate adventure together. He would be a fool if he didn't think she would have mixed feelings about it, but he would be a fool to ignore his own emotions and the way they so obviously still felt toward one another. Moving forward with a steadying breath he chuffed to announce his presence to the woman he so dearly loved.

"The sky does little to match your beauty" he murmured as he took a seat beside her, running his nose briefly over the fur behind her ears after he dropped the rabbit at his paws. He offered her a hesitant smile and then furrowed his brow "What is on your mind love?" he asked curiously, he could always tell when she was deep in her musings.

It was not long before Dakarai and stumbled upon her. When the druid saw him moving towards her, the druid’s heart lurched in both excitement and distress. There was a part of her that would never not love seeing him saunter to her, an excited light caught in his big, blue eyes. She yearned to be with him with every fiber of her being, knew how good it felt to give in to him, understood that their souls were forever intertwined — and knew those were all the reasons she simply couldn’t.

”Stop that.” she commanded dolefully, shimmying to the side so that they were no longer touching. It was clear to Olive that she lacked the self control needed to coexist with Dakarai; to live in Moonspear with him by her side. She could not be pleasant to him and, at the same time, resist him; so, she would have to be cold. She could not stand to face it, the fact that she continued to bring more hurt down upon her lover, so the pale woman turned her sculpted head and shut her eyes against their pain.

Like a slap to the face she recoiled from his touch, commanding him to stop in a tone that he had never heard her use before. unsure what to say he withdrew his head, staring at her with a confused and stung look in his eyes, which he knew she would be unable to see due to the way she wasnt looking at him. Had he done something wrong? He could feel that something was wrong between the two of them, but just what that was he was uncertain. "Olive?" he asked his voice strained with worry and tension.

he fell silent once more and just studied her, the way she was turned away from him and how she refused to look at him. It scared him and angered him all at once. She was acting like he had wounded her, like he had done something to hurt her in a major way. "Whats wrong? Is it the gods?" he asked his voice taking on a bitter edge that he wished he was able to hold in. he felt his heart steeling itself for pain, the walls he had set up falling into place brick by brick as he waited for whatever was about to happen.

Following her rebuff, Olive immediately felt the mood of the meeting shift. She didn’t need to open her eyes in order to see the hurt upon his face — she could feel it in her bones, because her own words stung herself just as strongly. He questioned her, but Olive could not bring herself to utter a response — whatever she said would be inane and she would flounder under the pressures of Dakarai’s skepticism. Frustration rose in the throat, so the shrouded face grit her teeth together and ground her molars together.  She had asked him to stop, but he didn’t stop. Dakarai never stopped.

It was part of the reason she loved him so.

Then, when Dakarai mentioned the gods and their punitive measures against her, her mossy gaze snapped back to his lovely visage and narrowed. “Don’t mock them!” she shuddered incredulously, quickly reminded that Dakarai did not truly understand why she did the things she did. If he did understand, truly knew her motives, he would not tempt their fate — tempt her. Dakarai could not grasp the power the omnipotent held over their lives, though he did weave wonderful stories about their powers, so she would need to take the reigns here.

The fae furrowed her velveteen brown in consternation. “Just… leave!” she gasped finally, wishing him to be away from her side. Oh, how she loved him here — and how she hated it more! Perhaps she would take the north side of the mountain, and he could claim the south, and the children could spend weekdays with their mother and weekends/holidays with their father. Yes, that seemed fair! Anything to protect him and the children that were born from their love.

She gritted her teeth against the sensation of her clouded mind. When she and her lover were parted, her cognition was as clear and smooth as glass — strong, too. But when she looked at him, her knees turned to jelly. Her entire mien became foggy and confused. Her goals and devotions, obscured. Most of her mistakes and most of her crimes had been for him; by him!  When she looked upon Dakarai, she was devoted to the man with her whole being.

So, Olive shut her eyes once again.  “I need to think.” she mumbled to herself. “I can’t think here…”

Dakarai had never seen Olive like this and it Scared him to death, But the fear did not stop the reaction of hurt and Anger. he had done everything for her, loved her, trusted her, and given her his whole being but she constantly betrayed and hurt him. She snapped at him to leave the gods alone and he snapped. "Dont mock them? They have done nothing for you Olive! You are too naive to see that the pain in our lives was caused by our actions, not some divine will of vengeful gods! In life the only thing we have is love, but you constantly shove mine away." his tone was hushed and bitter, that being far worse than him shoutinjg at her. He was broken and tired, so sick of how this had turned out. He never should have returned to teaghlaigh and he could finally see it.

She told him to leave and when he should have only been more angry, it once agaiin felt like a slap to the face. He backed away slowly, his ears flattening against his skull and eyes widening slightly. Did she really want him gone? She was asking him to leave her? The shock of it crushed his heart and made him shake "Fine..." his deep voice rumbled "I'll leave you. Maybe then you'll see what you had going for you, and what your faith in the gods ruined" he spat at her and turned around stalking away.

He didn't know what he was doing until he had reached the borders, and once he hit the boundry line he howled his goodbye and bolted away, his snarls and tears finally being released. He wouldn't stop running until he reached the coast, and there unknown to him now, he would find a way to start a new life.

Sorry to make this as quick as it was, you can post once more and archive it?

Finally, Dakarai left — but not without spitting venomous words. Yes, thought Olive as she subjected herself to her lover’s ire, this is what we need. Their niceties begot their love, so they needed dispute. anger. a sense of betrayal that would keep one another from falling back into each other’s arms. It was for the best.

Their love was too strong, but soon she would realize, so was their resentment.

However, Olive did not know what was to come. Did not realize that her star-crossed lover did not deign to leave her upon the side of the mountain, but to leave her entirely. Perhaps he had intended to return, but his path became muddied in the storm that actively brewed off the coast — but this, Olive would never know. It might even kill her.

But, for now, Olive huffed and cut a glance towards Dakarai as he disappeared across a hill. Finally, she could think.

.
and they all lived happily-never-after, the end.
