She curled her way across familiar ground to the southern border, time to reinforce it again against the weathers of time and other such boring and ordinary things. Monotony and routine was perhaps the only thing even close to therapy that Arbiter would ever allow herself, as it at least dulled the feelings she felt about the way things had turned. Spring was supposed to be better, but it wasn't over yet -- thankfully.
The routine also helped her to ignore the weather -- snow yet again making the visible world shrink around her as she moved. There were a few things she had in mind to do, the first of which was to make entirely clear this was her claim, to assure herself that her son and other packmates were keeping up their end of the bargain as she saw it. She was reasonably pleased aside from one other scarce individual, but of that she was in the long term unsurprised. Arbiter came up to one of the more visible game trails that lead into the bypass, searching for the scent of any who dared trespass. None. Good. She scratched up the snow there then moved to one of the nearby trees to leave her scent there as well. Routine, repetition. But would the day metaphorically brighten at some point?
Hell, she'd even take a couple of power hungry goons swinging by at this point thinking she'd be an easy mark. Might make things more lively in the short term.

Arbiter is often not a nice person and will think mean things without acting on them.

Technically trespassing? Feel free to pummel him a little if that's what Arbiter would do ;D
Sunstrider, as per his name, was not a man of these dreary, grey, snow-covered mountains. He was a creature cut from the desert itself, all fine lines and thin fur - his ruddy coat sticking out like a sore thumb against the wintry backdrop. He had no business being this far north, yet here he was regardless. The why lay within the rumbling of his stomach. Rodents and left over carcasses could only sustain one for so long, but he was pretty sure he could smell wolf up ahead - and where there were wolves there were packs, and where there were packs there was food.
With ground-eating strides, the man hurriedly followed the trail which led him to two towering mountains that overshadowed the plains he had just made his way through. Beastly, magnificent structures they were, with an equally imposing wolf seen heading towards the forests at the base of the mountains. She was but a stark white dot in the distance and would have been entirely missed were it not for the dark cape that cloaked her form.
With very little hesitance, Sunstrider began his march towards her before the strong scent of urine hit him. Ah, claimed land? Even better, he thought with a grin, his pace quickening so as to catch her before she disappeared in between the trees completely.

Okay! Choose your own adventure from this post. XD
When she got to the edge of the trees, she rubbed her head against the rough bark of the nearest one, from there, down the side of her neck and to her shoulder, scratching it there a moment before she pulled away. Trees were multi-purpose, you see. That was about when she looked to sweep the horizon again, expecting to see nothing, just as she had a few moments before.
However, she was no longer alone. And whoever it was that had since appeared had gone a little too far. Smallish, far more colorful than herself -- the rest of the details currently didn't matter, even if she had been able to tell them -- it really didn't matter other than she'd likely be able to punish them for their intrusion. Bold, too, he was headed right her way like he hadn't just broken an important rule. Arbiter's shift in mood was instant and obvious: her fur spiked on end, and she kicked up snow behind her as she took off straight towards him, full tilt. Her lips were parted into a snarl, and the pale devil certainly would live up to her father's name if given the chance.
He had a few seconds to do something to keep her from sinking her teeth into him -- run, collapse into submission, some combination of the two, but Arbiter, unsurprisingly, meant business. Do nothing? Teeth. Cower? Likely just bowl him over and move on from there.

Perfect! :D
The instant she turned, Sunstrider stopped dead in his tracks; his heart leapt into his throat, and his yellow eyes grew twice their size. Oh, fuck. His cheerful attitude quickly plummeted, replaced with a growing sense of dread as she now barreled towards him like a hungry t-Rex. Oh, she was very mad. Of course, he knew about borders, about how territorial wolves were, but he had bet on his chances and ability to talk his way into getting some food.
But it looked like the odds were certainly not in his favor today.
In mere moments the two-toned beast was upon him, and Sunstrider stumbled backwards, tripping over his own legs as he did so, managing to blab out a very panicked, "woah, woah, woah, lady!" He fell onto his back with a loud fwump, tail hugging his belly and forelegs outstretched towards the sky in a clear sign of please, for the love of God, don't eat me! I have so much to live for!

He froze. A bad instinct if he was going to flee, it allowed Arbiter to close distance. Perhaps this was more the kind of release she needed, bounding forward with vengeance and purpose -- whether it be snarl or smile it was twisted and angry. Trip, fall, he collapsed upon himself like some sort of confused turtle and Arbiter's momentum carried her up on top of him where she stopped. What? She wouldn't get to gut him today?
She loomed over him, one paw on the far side of the comparatively small canine, and stared down at him, chin tucked enough so that her throat was a less easy target. Arbiter's words were sharp, but probably higher survivability from those than her teeth,

What, suddenly you don't actually have a death wish? Her ears remained aggressively forward, daring him to do more, give her a reason to take out her pent up anger and frustration at him. And she'd be totally in the clear no matter what she did to him.
