Atreyu was torn between trying to defuse the encounter and prevent a fight...or just let Charon have at this Blythe. She had, after all, apparently either let Kevlyn — whatever his connection to Charon was, he had obviously been close to him — be murdered, or was straight up lying. He refused to show his uncertainty, however, prowling closer as his Beta growled a repeated question.
