There was tension in the air and it was no wonder; Charon himself had been tense, and though his demeanour was neutral he felt like he was a hair trigger away from snapping at any given moment. Should someone reveal that either wolf here had been involved in killing Galaxy his teeth were at the ready, for he was tired of feeling like he could not protect his family and his pack like he ought to. Yet for now the conversation remained civil. Liffey remained silent though looked tense and nothing like her usual chipper self, a thing that concerned Charon for it made him feel paranoid that she may be preparing for the eventual betrayal by detaching now. Or perhaps she was simply calling him names in her head, the same names that he — No. Better, he heard and he nodded absently. No. He was awesome. It was the wolves that'd harmed his family that should feel this way, not he. It wasn't his fault.

Lyra's been helping. Charon nodded again, though he imagined that she wouldn't have been all too kind in her helping. "Ah." He let it simmer for a moment, the tension, the uncomfortable feelings, the awkwardness, while he numbly felt the wind play with his fur as a breeze drifted by.
