Rannoch appreciated her sentiment, and he softly smiled at what she said. "Yeah," he reflected, "I feel less alone, now, too." Rannoch had never met another with as similar of a backstory as Nara; it was comforting to know that he wasn't the only one experiencing the special breed of grief that he felt. 

He was moved emotionally as Nara envisioned what the future held, and while she spoke, he looked overhead and inspected the night sky— were Scimitar and Eshe looking down on them now? "I sure hope so," he replied, his voice quiet. Hopefully, he'd see Cypress, too. 

"It's better now, for sure," Rannoch answered as he glanced at Nara. "But, it still hurts, sometimes." He didn't want to set improper expectations for Nara.
