Kavik's shoulders dropped as the tension left his body at her words. "So did I," he said grinning. He knew the memories of this night would be something he cherished; something he would reach for in hard times when he needed to feel hope.

They had much to discuss. They were now on their own, which caused a whole new set of worries for him; the biggest being keeping Liri safe. It would be hard for them without all that a pack had to offer, but they were both strong, and he had no doubt they would figure something out. 

Right now, he just wanted to savor this moment; the way his little wolf felt against him and the way her scent had changed slightly as it mixed with his. His worries about their future could wait a little longer. So, he rested his head on her shoulders and let out a long satisfied sigh, eventually falling asleep like that.
