She had found the calmest spot of the creek, where the water was not too shallow, not too deep, but flowed gently, rippling softly as her small paws disturbed the surface. It would never match her favoured ocean, the great waves and storms from the sky, but alas it was the closest she could find, and she would take it with gratitude. The water was cool against her body as the sea nymph slipped into the icy rivulets, eyes closing with glee despite the cold; the chill didn't bother her. She had found a spot near the creek where the sun shone warmest in the afternoons even when it was a chilled day, and she had no doubts that her pelt would dry with a little time (especially if she preened it and encouraged the process).

It was the fish that caught her watery gaze, though, as she watched the surface of the creek glisten. They shimmered beneath, dancing and swirling, little flashes of silver; for a moment the sylph let them be, simply observing as they moved in sync, as though twirling to the very sound of their own heartbeats, all connected, all one. It was one of the beauties of life, Faeryn supposed. 

Then her agile body lunged forward, muzzle plunging into the depths - any who watched would be able to see that she had been well trained for this, well adapted to life on an island where fish was most plentiful. The Renoda was a swift mover, and when she retracted her jaws from the rippling liquid there was a limp body of a fish hanging from betwixt her fangs. She could taste it on her tongue, and the texture made her smile warmly with the success of the catch.

She would always be a seawolf at heart.
