Derg nodded slowly, letting his eyes shine his approval. "I'm glad you had a good encounter." The agouti supposed it lent to the young man to have had youth on his side. Wintersbane wasn't one for harming children.
"I hope one day there may be an alliance between my pack and yours, once we've formed of course." He let a pleasant smile show, his ears tilting, "I'm certain if we did, it would be a strong relationship." Planting the idea in the boy now, when they were early, would only prove useful. A fallback should Rusalka fall into hardship and need strength to pull their weight. He doubted the sea-witch let herself fall hard but, seeing her injuries and age; it could become a possibility.
There didn't seem to be any pressing matter, so he didn't ask. Not about his sister at least; she could handle herself. Instead, he decided to inquire about this festival, "So, what brings you here? Just celebrations?" He left it open, not really wanting to create a list.
