He felt he had been gone too much lately, his task to find new members becoming somewhat of an obsession. His most recent exploration had kept him away from the hollow much longer than intended, and he had been crossing back over the borders when Nyx's call reached his ears.

He trotted onto the scene, eyes moving over every adult and pup as he made his way to sit beside Damien. His path was interrupted by the arrival of his mate, though. He would have normally sought him out first and made up for lost time after checking on his state. He was worried about @Alarian, and the feeling had only grown everytime he had to leave. Midar greeted him with a brief touch of his nose to his cheek and look that said they would catch up after he was done here, and then he moved to take his place at Damien's other side.

Nyx began to speak, stating that they should move soon and asking if anyone had any suggestions. Flicker spoke first of woods to the south, and Midar wondered which forest she was talking about. He had explored much of the land around them at some time or another, and he wondered if he had ever been there. He also wondered: Why not just stay here? The thought had crossed his mind often lately. We've already clearly marked all the borders, and it leaves us close enough to Blackfeather to keep an eye on things. And, they wouldn't have to try moving with the pups in tow; they were old enough to move, sure, but not old enough to be anything but a considerable vulnerability beyond the safety of the borders.

Midar was surprised to hear of the kidnapped child; it must have happened while he was gone. It was quite an act to perform without the approval of the pack leaders, and so the beast was in agreement that punishment was in order. He was always willing to go to war for the pack, but this was not a good time to be creating more rifts between them and other packs. His gaze drifted over the wolves gathered as he waited for the guilty party to come forward.
