wintersbane is quiet for a long moment, knowing the answer and how cold it will sound. ❝no,❞ he rasps. it means admitting that he cannot help. he doesn't have the first clue how to deal with someone suffering from memory loss, despite having gone thru it himself; and in wintersbane's book honesty — brash and cruel as it could be at times — was better than the alternative.
