Derg felt sorry for the man.
And himself. He didn't think it was selfish to do so.
He missed Keen.
The man licked his lips, relieving himself of the mostly eaten rabbit. He couldn't stomach the parts that were left right now.
He too lay down, feeling tired now. Exhausted.
His emotions had drained out all of his energy.
He lay his head on his dirty paws. He was actually pretty dirty. But the man seemed glad that he'd help quench Derg's emotional breakdown.
"Peaches," he replied his eyes seeming to hold a new light in them, though his face was still pretty expressionless. Too much effort.
Once a moment passed, he exhaled heavily in an attempt to laugh. "I'm Derg."
