So this was some random man that Tierra had found. She didn't even know if he was good or not. Kallik didn't like this at all. He could be dangerous and he would be a drain on their resources. It might be a cruel way to think, but someone had to think about it. Aquene was a bleeding heart, and he knew she couldn't sit back and not help an injured wolf. But this was going too far. 

He only grew more uneasy when his wife told Tierra that head wounds were unpredictable and this stranger would need a guard while he healed. 

But Aquene was planning to bring him to the tablinum. She asked if he would help carry the man there. Kallik shook his head. No, he said. We know nothing about this man. He could be dangerous and I don't want him near you or the kids. He usually let Aquene do her thing regardless of his reservations. But this is where he drew the line. Not to mention he didn't know if he could trust Tierra's judgement yet, so that was only more reason not to let this man stay in Mereo.
