Totoka River sleepless

To the river New Snow went. But there was a peculiar trail that caught her interest; cloven hooves that seemed to trek through it. New Snow found a solidly frozen patch, and tested her weight with a gentle paw. Nothing broke, here. She followed after the trail, which was but a day or so old. But when the pain of her injury became too much, New Snow turned back with a quiet sigh and made her way back to the wolves of the Rise. She paused only to roll in the scent of the herd to bring back to them, leaving her own scent with it.
