the expression on andr's face did not escape her. she gave him a sheepish smile, apology visible in her pallid eyes as she moved to brush her cheek with his russet one -- much as she had fleurette.
with a soft chuckle, she relayed the words again. it was her hope that andr might understand what had been so hard for the former mute to communicate.
