it'd been days since they arrived to the shoreline, their early hours spent gallivanting through the sandy beaches under the gentle embrace of daylight. he'd become sun-kissed, cheeks flushed warm and ears a steamy red beneath the fur as they adjusted to the constant wind and lack of shade that stretched across the coast. 

today they'd been basking beneath a swatch of palms when the boy rose to stretch out weary limbs. "i'm gonna go find a drink," he let out through a yawn while prodding the shoulder of a still napping @Maggak. she mumbled something he couldn't discern while he set off, to which he gave a shrug of his shoulders and continued on towards where he thought he remembered spotting a creek.
