She was please at her children's excitement, to learn and grow. Angel Oak spun around in a burst of energy, their eyes and waving tails full of childhood magic. She wore a motherly smile as she spoke, "Of course you can, Angel. You and your sister go have fun. I'll howl when it's time to return."

And then, she watched her children run off to play, bright eyed and bushy-tailed. She turned around to work on their sleeping space, to make it feel more like home, and watch whoever decided to hang back.
