gonna go ahead and skip over Val too since it's been a bit.
It was the bull's job to be split from the herd. After all, it was he which distracted the wolves do that the cows may run freely and get away. He was made to protect them. So when he turned and came to charge at the wolves, it was of little surprise. One might think the pack might have the advantage, by tricking the bull when it was he they wanted, yet facing off the wolves was common task for him.
They did their best to evade his charges. All the while doing their best to protect his neice just the same and when he would double back in order to rejoin the herd, the wolves would give chase. They would manage a snatch, once, maybe twice, at the bull's legs. Yet he was young and strong and it would be a game of this, back and forth and back and forth, far longer them it would take the old, sick or injured.
Who would tire first? Predator or prey?
