quietly, she approached. her belly taut with the changing of her scent. hormones. she was a different woman now, coming out of her season. the lingering shadow of sun eater's scent was potent against her hips, her glands. but she was still her.

her eyes softened as she drew near to gjalla, the faint light of the stars casting a silver glow over them both.

she leaned in, her muzzle pressing gently to gjalla’s cheek, a comforting gesture that lingered for a moment before she settled beside her. the cool air brushed against her fur, but she paid it no mind, her attention solely on her spirit sister.

it’s been too long since we shared the stars, she added softly, her gaze lifting to the heavens. the faintest shift in her expression betrayed her emotions—a blend of joy, anticipation, and perhaps a touch of unease as her body carried its new burden. but here, with gjalla, she let herself simply be.
