Ouroboros Spine mother

Everyone had been sleeping soundly… except for one. After becoming a mother, some of Raindrop's senses had heightened, especially her hearing. She heard the gasp that came from Ludo, and then the frantic footsteps as he raced out of the den. She got up from her resting place, trying not to wake the others, and followed after him. 

She found him sitting not far from the den, looking up to the sky. Not wanting to alarm him any more than he already was, she spoke gently, coming up beside him and nuzzling his bright white face, then sat beside him.

"Can't sleep?" She asked him, trying to stay casually. He was a growing boy, and she didn't want to baby him too much. For his sake.
