Rushing blood of all things

Scarlett had been pacing around the border in search for Néa. Now her heat was over she could finally be more mobile. She didn't wish to carry the litter of a stranger of course even though she was dying to be a mother. This year wasn't her year to do that. Maybe other orphaned teenagers needed her. Maybe that was Scarlett's calling? Who knows. The pale female strode forward from one side of the territory to another. Her ears caught a howl that immediately didn't settle with her. The young female lunged forward and went after the howl.

It didn't take long for her nose to catch the scent of blood. Her stomach turned because she hoped it wasn't Néa. As she followed her nose she saw Adlartok. What happened? Her heart immediately cried out as she rushed forward. "Oh," she whispered as she got closer. She was a caretaker not a healer but she knew a bit. She saw the open wound and reminded herself when she took Néa to the wetlands. She had a Canadian Anemone taken from there and placed in their den! It stopped bleeding, Scarlett knew that! Oh she needed to get Ad to her den, as soon as possible. She had a stream of water to clean his wounds too and a smalls storage of food.

"Adlartok. It is me Scarlett. I'm going to help you, alright? Do you think you can stand?," she asked as she spoke with a calm voice. None of her inner distress was shown. She knew that wouldn't help the situation.
