Kalika had been on edge since the meeting with Drageda, though it was unclear if the strains of politics were her true lag. She had spent the time right before and just after the negotiations with her hackles raised and her paws pacing. Had she done well? Had her poor skills provided ruin to her pack's name? What if the tides changed and it all fell back onto her juvenile faults? 

Eventually, this became enough to drive the young femme into a strange, stress-induced state which fell somewhere between awakedness and slumber. Her cognition of the outside world had been temporarily cut, though she favored the newfound time she had to sit and speak with the Mother.

As she sat quiet and still atop a brigade of rough stone and sand, Kalika stared out over the horizon with her tail whipping behind her; a silent warning to those who wished to approach.
