Dragoncrest Cliffs we dance to the sound of sirens

Mallaidh hasn’t… exactly avoided Blixen since their visit to the tangle but she hasn’t gone out of her way to find her, either. How is every reaction to something, good or bad, to avoid it? She is left with more questions, more feelings, more… somehow more hurt than before. She misses her mom, most of all, especially in the wake of her closest friends losing their mother and her attempt at keeping distracted have proven ineffective once the high wears off and she’ grounded once more.

When her friend makes the call, she moves in that direction. She’s oblivious to the information in the howl, caught up in her own thoughts, but when she arrives she sees Blackbear and another wolf she doesn’t know first and on the other side of her, Blixen and Artaax, causing her to stop in her tracks.

Her heart skips about five beats and if she was still walking, she’d trip over her own feet. She gathers herself, takes a deep breath, and tries to walk over to them as if everything is completely normal. She doesn’t say anything but doesn’t approach one other the other and instead finding her seat near… a very mess Easy, she realizes, and can’t help but shooting her a questioning look.
