He hoped the pair found their missing packmates, but he tried not to let the alternative sink in too much--it was a downward spiral he wasn't sure he would be able to climb out of very quickly, and he just couldn't fall apart right now. He watched the two take off towards the northern part of the plateau, silent and frozen for a few moments before finally turning and heading towards the river to the south.
