The tone of voice used seemed off and so he eyeballed the man nervously, shyly scampering away to peer at him from a safe distance and chirping "Im jus 'Splorin mister watcha!" his nervousness and attempt at false innocence making the accent from his father heavier. Then he realised he had lied and knew it was bad and his eyes fell to his paws "I had to pee and for some reason it felt right to pee there" he explained in a soft voice.
