he could smell them. in some areas it was faint, in others it was nothing but them. a friend he hurt, a rival he battled, a bastard, a lover.

but no son.

but how could this be? if they were all out here, deku had to be here too. issun thought back to the brief visit to shadewood and his heart began beating on his chest. if he wasn’t there and he wasn’t here, then where could he be?
