Preparing for rejection and a long trek back home to the moors, that sullen, sunken look lifted as she asked for his presence to linger just a little longer than to... as poetically put it. Fuck and dump. With an awkward, but sweet smile akin to that of a gauche teenager despite his aging features, his tail flickers into life for a moment before settling down and welcoming her to lay next to him and enjoy a moment of peace between them. 

He feared to force children on her, but the act was done and all they could do was hope for the best. For now, he would relish in the moment, enjoy the companionship that he felt was long overdue with a romantic tint to it.
